Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state in India with over 200 million people. The capital of Uttar Pradesh is Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh is bordered by Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh. Other adjoining states are Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. The state has a large transportation system with the largest road link network in the country. The state is well connected to its nine neighboring states and almost all other parts of India through the national highways.
